Introducing the “Keep in Box” Feature – Your Personal Storage

I love updating and tinkering with the structure of this site and I’m always tempted to add new features to test my coding skills and understanding.

And here is what is new!
I stumbled on a bookmarking, a safe for later script for a blogger site.

I’ve implemented it on this site as ‘keep in box’ and I bet it will be useful to some users to save posts and come back for them with this new feature.

Say hello to “Keep in Box,” everyone’s personal storage box on this site. Anyone can save and organize their favorite content with ease.

What is “Keep in Box”?

“Keep in Box” is Just a feature designed to help you save, organize, and revisit the posts, content, or products that resonate with you.

It is like a digital chest for this site that serve the purpose of bookmarking and adding to cart.

It is a Box where you canĀ  curate your own keep or save for later collection of various products, contents, inspiring articles, tutorials, and more on this site.
You may know it as bookmark, or save for later, or pocket…

What Came About Keep-In-Box

I thought of having a feature like thisĀ  when I received this comment

And I have also wanted to have a add to cart feature which led me to resourcing for this

Finally I realized bookmark can function as both since the Add to cart feature i needed should be minimal.

[ This site does not have a backend to handle complex stuffs ( maybe with time i would progress)]

How to Use the “Keep in Box” Feature

How Does It Work?

Adding content to your “Keep in Box” is simple.

Just look for the “Keep” button placed right under the post title, after the author’s name.

When you come across a post or product that you want to save for later or reference in the future, click the “Keep” button. It’s as easy as bookmarking a page.

This feature uses local storage of your browser so note it saves on the browser used in accessing sdavidprince.space.Ā  If you visit from another browser, you wont access your kept contents. Also, if you clear your browsing cookies; you may loose items kept in the box.

You can always add to your box anytime.

Access Your Box

Wondering where your saved posts are stored?

In the site’s header (on the left), you’ll find a small box icon.

Click on it to access your “Keep in Box.” Inside, you’ll discover all the posts you’ve kept in your box.

Count on the Counter

The box icon in the header also comes with a counter. This counter keeps track of the number of Items you’ve saved. It’s a quick way to see just how many pieces of inspiration you’ve collected.

Unclutter and Remove

Change your mind about a saved post? No problem! You can easily remove items from your “Box.”

–Ā  Access your box

–Ā  you will see the “trash/delete” icon beside your kept.

–Ā  Use it to throw away contents you don’t need

This cannot be undone but you can always add later in the box using the “keep” button.

I hope you enjoy this new feature and that it adds a touch of convenience and personalization to your experience on sdavidprince.space. Happy keeping!

Bro can you make a blogger template with all features including the cart and checkout added on this site and layout should be easy to custom like magone templte from blogger layout. It should have locked content, user regisyration and ad manager like the one you use on this site. pleeassess

Sorry bro. That’s not my line and I’m not even seeing myself venturing into that for now. There are already alot of amazing Blogger templates and themes that has brought out the full of blogger you can pick any. Buh I can help in just recommending and adding extra features šŸ˜‘ if it’s okay by the theme provider.

    Woah finally
    but
Can you make it save for loggegin users. so we can be able to access from every browser.

i’m also wanting to add in my blog can you share how to implement this

The user personal bookmark library is a good feature but I really do not see the need for it on this site. Even having this is extensive enough an only a number of sites have this feature and besides, almost everyone have their bookmark setup using the browser button or having a web clipper or any other extension and add on.

There are a lot of bookmarking tools you can try if you want your personal record of links and it won’t be of this site alone šŸ˜‰.

I’ll look forward to this for experiment sake and as a challenge but I don’t think it can be implemented for now. Just bare, handling such feature would require heavy script and database and complexity. I use Firebase to handle logins and signups with a fair usage limit which I wouldn’t want to reach the bar so I’m afraid is more than this site capacity.

If you want the feature on your site, it’s still achievable.

This post is not about that. Mxm; it works and it is actually in use on this site and right now, there is a limited number of free users to my membership community just to make sure the feature is working as it should. For now Almost all members now are free tier lol. Space is full šŸŒ and it’s just a couple of days left until free access is being revoked. Well I also think adding you won’t remove money from my account šŸ˜… send me a mail
